Is there a way to convert playstation 3 games to playstation 2 games?

What the heck; Thats like asking if you can play ps2 games on ps1, you cant because the ps1 was CD and ps2 is DVD. Same thing here the ps2 is DVD while ps3 Blue-ray, while DVD works on Blue-ray the opposite is never possible because the new one is designed so that it can give better performance with better hardware you cant expect better performance on your old hardware.
