Just to get some things straight: Nintendo ds Or Ds lite do NOT play cd’s of any kind. PSP’s on the other hand play cd’s but NOT the ds or ds lite.
Okay now to your question:
Nintendo ds games are alllll cartridges that are very small, smaller than the gameboy cartridges. (one third the size of a gameboy game) So be careful not to lose them.

they come on cartridges but you can take them apart and make them run discs not recommended but man is it fun when you play halo pc on a ds.

No they don’t come in cd’s. The cartridges are vary small so I suggest you get the game case. ( It holds your ds games some they are easyly found
