for your first question i always buy my games from asda as they are so cheap!!! they go down in price abit but it is still saving you money!!!!
second question: well i have heard that say if you have a ds from uk and then u buy a game ffrom japan, america blah blah blah then it will work on your ds so as you asked about that asia one then i think that the games might just be the same as each other. hoped i helped!!!!
To answer your second question, i know that my friend has a Japanese game of pickachu in Mario’s role (one of those never before heard games) so there is no lockout on the DS i believe
