Can the playstation 3 play regular playstation games?

any ps3 can play any PS1 game.only the 60 and 80GB ps3s can play PS2 games.

Like Wham-O said above me they all can play PS1 games. The 80 gb PS3 can only play about 80% of PS2 games and the 20 and 60gb are fully compatible with PS2 games. The 40 gb PS3 can not play any PS2 games at all it can only play PS1 games.
