Does illegally downloaded PSP games work if it’s put on a memory stick?

you must have 1.5 firmware to play games from the mem stick. all custom firmware is based off 1.5 so they will work.
you have to downgrade to 1.5, and whether or not you can do that depends on your current firmware. if you are updated to 3.51 or 3.52, you cant downgrade.. ifyou are at 3.50 or below you can.
