your Blu-ray optical laser probably failed, became loose or was covered by dust. If you are willing to pay $250 to buy a refurbed one from sony than do so, but also if you are experienced in electronics you should open it up carefully (find a guide online) and see whats wrong with it. (IT IS NOT RECOMENDED AND YOU MAY BREAK IT)
