you can use the XBOX contrroller on the PC and it will work like any controller u use on the PC ,about the games ,may be u can use it in assassin’s creed , but in Call of Duty 4
forget it !
Most new games are preprogrammed for controller support and it will work like on 360 (it’s the same controller, right?), but I warn you that you might be slaughtered using the controller in an FPS in online multiplayer because most other people will be using the more precise keyboard/mouse combo!
You can use it with whatever game you like if you use a third party software. Most new games support the 360 controller (u.s.b) as standard so you just plug in and off you go, it will work with C.O.D4 no problems as i did this when my little cousin came over as he isn’t use to using a keyboard and mouse. So any new game is supported as standard no calibration required. if you intend to play older games that do not have support for a game pad then use this software with this you can play ANY game using your controller and its great. I use this when playing GTA.SA

Dude Says:
Any PC game sold in a box that has the “Games For Windows” logo has to support the 360 controller.
However, in some games you’d be pretty weird to prefer the controller to mouse and keyboard.
