well if you want adventure get Mario galaxy and if you want fun for the entire family get guitar hero and if you want random fun games get warrior ware smooth moves or mario prty 8 ( i think it is # ya but don’t get crappy games like sims unless you have little kids
oh i almost forgot i think mario kart for wii is out you get a wheel and everything it is cool
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock
Mario Kart Wii
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Wii Fit
Okami
At the moment, the market would say Wii Fit, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Galaxy and Guitar Hero 3.
IMHO, it doesn’t really matter what the markets says so much as what I enjoy playing. That being said, when you are looking for games to buy, think about what kind of games you like/what games have you seen or played? Find out what “genre” they are and start there. Gamestop.com has got a site feature that will let you sort through all games in a certain genre.
Either way, get some (specific) input from people that have played it. Get them to tell you WHAT they liked about it. I (for example) will take game play and story over graphics and sound anyday - Which is why I like Zelda better than Guitar Hero (both AWESOME games, but just in a different way). Again, just my opinion - but you want the “WHY” behind why people like or dislike a game; it may not matter to you.
This is just a coincidence, but I own 9 of the top 10 rated Wii games from Metacritic.com (see link below). I wouldn’t rate them in that order, but if your looking for good games in a specific genre, you could do worse by not checking out this site.

Mario Kart is okay.
But I really think Wii Play and Wii Sports are still the best.

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicals is good like being in an arcade shooting zombies on the screen with the Wii remote.
