Are there any games on the Xbox 360 that can be played against a user on another platform?

no. the only other consoles a 360 can play against online is an xbox and thats only with specific games over xbox live. There are other system link versions for multiplayer (such as Xlink Kai)over the net without coughing up money for xbox live but they only work for the specific consoles aswell. No consoles can be played online against a completely different one.

There are only a few exceptions to this rule, which include Phantasy Star Universe for the PC and PS2, which can connect to each other and play. Unfortunately, even though the 360 ALSO has the game, it cannot connect with anybody else that plays the game on something other than the 360- it will only be playable with other 360 players.
The reasoning behind this? X-box Live. Having a popular internet-based multiplayer gaming interface does have the downsides- it may be able to track what you’re playing, who you’re playing it with, and the friends you could be playing with, but it also means devoting game code to fit the mode, in a manner that doesn’t conflict with X-Box Live at the same time. This is probably the best reason you aren’t going to see cross-platform titles be able to connect with others.

so far, only Finaly Fantasy XII. they can play with ps2 and pc users. There’s a game coming out called shadow run that will let you play users on other platforms too
