Dustin C asked: I am looking to buy a gaming pc that can play all the high graphic games such as Crysis and all the other newer ones. How much would a gaming pc cost me that could play all the current games and not need an upgrade for the next 2 or so years? Thanks in advance to those who answer

You can never keep up with PC technology nomatter how hard you try. Regardless, if you’re looking for a mammoth, kickass ******** system that you will be okay using for awhile, you’re looking at about 18-2500 bucks. Go to websites that allow you to build custom PC’s and try to price out the cheapest one with the most bang. You’re going to want at least 500mb of hard drive space with a 3gig processor at the least, and around 3-4gigs of ram. Probably going to want dual 512mb video cards as well.

For about a $1000 (or a little over) you can buy a PC with intel Q6600, 4 GB ram 800Mhz, 500 GB hard 7200rpm, 19″ monitor, HD sound integrated and NVIDIA 8600 GT 256 DDR3. All you need is to spent extra $100-$200 to upgrade the video card and you should be all set.

You can spend anywhere from $500 to $1000 for a PC that can handle most games. The cheaper end PCs near the $500 mark will have integrated graphics so you’ll want to purchase a dedicated graphics card that won’t pull processing power from your PC … Any AMD x2 or Intel dual-core processor will be adequate. Make sure you have 2G of RAM and a Graphics Card in your PC and you shouldn’t have any issues.
Also, holding out right now for a few more months and waiting for AMD to release their Tri-Core Processors would be a good idea. Benchmarks show that the extra processing core on the AMD Phenom (Quad-Core) processor do not provide any additional benefit for current PC gaming.
