Who will allow you to put your Xbox, games and accessories toward an Xbox 360 purchase?

I want to get an Xbox360, but I don’t have enough cash & I don’t trust Ebay! I have a fully functional Xbox in like-new condition, alot of controllers (more than a dozen), Xbox Live headset with controller dongle and nearly 2 dozen games.

How can I put these toward the purchase of an Xbox 360 and a couple games (just 2 or 3) to go with it?

you can try to trade it in at a game store, but to be honest, youll get pennies on the dollar. Literally! I tried to trade in my dozens of xbox games at Babbages in the mall, and each game’s buyback price would have been under fifteen cents (except for halo CE, which fetched about three dollars).
Ebay is your best bet, but even there you wont get what youre expecting. I bet you couldnt sell that entire setup for more than $100 or so.
The fact is, there just isnt a demand anymore for xbox or its games. everyone wants a new 360 or theyre saving for ps3 or whatever.

Hmm, and I’m sure you came into possession of an Xbox with “more than a dozen” controllers in a perfectly legal manner, right?
If there is some reasonable explanation for how you came to own that many controllers: There are plenty of places that will take your games and system and let you put the money towards a 360 (Electronics Boutique, for one), but they tend to really rip you off. If you want to get the most for the games, eBay is your best bet. Otherwise, prepare to receive at the very most $20 for a very recent game that’s in high demand, and less than $10 for other games. It’s just not worth it.
