Does the new Playstation 3 need a memory card to save games or do they have built in memory?
uru2jdg asked:
The Playstation 3 comes in two models. The 20 GB and the 60 GB. The PS1 and Playstation 2 need memory cards to save games. Does the Playstation 3 need a memory card to save games? Or do they have built-in memory? Is the GB on each model the amount of memory you have to save your games?

yes, you can save the games on the Hardrive. either with the 20gb or 60gb. no memory card needed. but you can get a memory card adapter to transfer all your ps2 game saves on to your ps3’s hardrive because the PS3 does not take memory card slots

No it does’nt need memory cards…u will have to create virtual/ internal ps1 or ps2 memory cards and also state which card slot u want it as on the hard drive(hdd). Ps3 has a built in hard drive to save games on, obviously the 60gb version has a whole lot more hdd space than 20gb model. But i suggest u get the 60gb model as it has wifi and memory card slots making it easier to upgrade or to transfer music/ videos etc to and from ps3.
