What are the best all time video games for the PC?
AirDevil asked:
I finally came out of the stoneage and bought a new PC with a dual core 2.4 gig processor, 2 gig ram, and 256 meg memory card so I can finally play some games that I haven’t been able to play with my old PC. Since I’ve missed out on all of the awesome games of the past five years I’m looking for recommendations of PC games that you would say are must plays. I’m personally partial to strategy (i.e. command & conquer) & first person shooters (i.e. doom). What are the best that I should be buying now?

All WW2:
FPS - one of the recent Call Of Duty games (3 is out now)
Strategy - Company of Heroes is the hottest now.
An interesting meld of the two is Brothers In Arms which is a FPS that also allows you to give simple commands to your squad mates.

Well for strategy Rise of nations and Company of Heroes are really great games.
First person shooters; Can never go wrong with the Farcry series. Elder Scrolls VII, Oblivion is also a great game if you like fantasy first person.
If you have ever played Diablo I would recommend Titan Quest. Exactly like Diablo but it has a Mythology influence to it.
You picked a good time to get a new PC, alot of good games just came out a little while ago and are now starting to fall in price.
